What is TPS and CTPS?
TPS (Telephone Preference Service) and CTPS (Corporate Telephone Preference Service) are official UK registers where individuals and businesses can opt out of unsolicited sales and marketing calls.
How often is the data updated?
Our TPS and CTPS database is refreshed regularly — from weekly on Starter and Pro plans to daily on Business and above. Enterprise customers receive real-time updates. See our documentation for full details by plan.

How often should I check numbers?
ICO guidance recommends screening at least every 28 days. People register with TPS regularly, so a number that was clear last month might not be today. Our Growth plan and above includes a compliance tracking dashboard to help you stay on top of re-checking.
Do you store my phone number data?
We log the numbers you check to provide audit trails and compliance reports. This data is stored securely in the UK and retained according to your plan level. Audit logs are retained for 12 to 24 months on Pro plans and above; check history on lower tiers is retained for a shorter period. You can export your logs anytime for your own records.
What is included in Phone Intelligence?
Every TPS check returns additional data about the phone number at no extra cost. This includes line type (mobile or landline), the original network carrier, and for landlines, the geographic location. This helps you validate your data and plan campaigns more effectively.
Can I try before subscribing?
Yes. Our free plan gives you 50 checks per month with full API access. No credit card required. You can also purchase Pay-As-You-Go credits without a subscription to test with larger volumes.
What happens if I exceed my monthly limit?
We never charge you automatically for overage. Your dashboard will warn you at 80% and 95% usage. When your allocation is exhausted, the API returns an error. You can purchase PAYG credits as a top-up or upgrade your plan anytime.
